What is Al Barzah?
In Emirati heritage, Al Barzah (البرزة) is the traditional majlis where the ruler or governor opens his doors to the community — welcoming elders, notables and members of the public alike to talk over the matters of the day and to listen to people's needs. Anyone could come forward and be heard, and every visitor was received with the same warmth and respect.
As in every Emirati majlis, each guest was welcomed with Arabic coffee and dates. The Al Barzah Collection is our tribute to that tradition of open doors and generous welcome: seven new flavours created to be shared, each pairing premium Emirati Kholas or Fardh dates with a filling inspired by the tastes we love to offer our guests, from karak tea to sesame tahini.
